Моё место не здесь - I Don’t Fit in Here

The poem below has been read 583 times on my Blogger forum, even though I haven't made it my first open post. I've been thinking about composing a poem, for which I've written down the syllables of lyrics. For that work, I used an application called Texter. The future will tell me how much of the text needs to be changed and/or whether I can find a melody for it.
Here is the link to the Blogger post where this poem also published in English.

To Stay Lying down in the Gunfire; Kun ovi sulkeutuu

Kun ovi sulkeutuu
on avattava uusi ovi
ettei unohdu tuleen
makaamaan.

When the door finally closes,
a new one must be opened
or stay lying down
in the gunfire.

The Finnish saying

The Finnish saying jäädä tuleen makaamaan literally translates to "to stay lying down in the gunfire". Idiomatically, it means to give up, freeze up, or stay passively paralyzed after running into a setback or crisis instead of keeping moving forward and taking action. [1, 2, 3]

Origin and Context

  • Military roots: The phrase comes from military vocabulary and was famously popularized by Väinö Linna in his classic 1954 war novel Tuntematon sotilas (The Unknown Soldier), where an officer orders troops not to freeze or lie down under fire. [1]

  • Modern usage: Today, it is used broadly in everyday life—often in the negative (ei saa jäädä tuleen makaamaan / "you mustn't stay lying in the fire")—to encourage someone to get back up, face adversity, and fix a difficult situation rather than surrender to despair. [1, 2, 3]

I Wait for Autumn; Sed autumnum expecto

 I Wait for Autumn

After winter comes summer,
But I wait for autumn.
Then proud people
Will be less proud.

Я иду по улице (Yelling Rosa)

[Verse 1]

Я иду по улице,
и вспоминаю тебя.
Я иду в центральный парк,
где мы кормим птиц.

[Chorus]

Почему наша история
закончилась слезами?

[Verse 2]

Маленький воробей
ест зернышки с моей руки.
Я уверена, что это ты.
Ты улыбаешься, утешая меня.

[Chorus]

Почему наша история
закончилась слезами?
Почему наша история
закончилась слезами?

I'm walking down the street (Yelling Rosa)

[Verse 1]

I'm walking down the street,
and I think of you.
I go to Central Park,
where we feed the birds.

[Chorus]

Why did our story
end in tears?

[Verse 2]

A little sparrow
eats seeds from my hand.
I'm sure it's you.
You smile, comforting me.

[Chorus]

 Why did our story
end in tears?
Why did our story
end in tears?
